"Into the Darkness was one of the first pieces I made. This piece captures the overwhelming emotions of despair. The sea of darkness can be interpreted as a sense of depression. As you can see from the image, the centerpiece is a character who is attempting to stay afloat, as if she is treading water and fighting the currents that threaten to pull her into the darkness." "I attempted to make the features of the character as one who is pleading with anyone who could see and help her escape from her situation" L.C.M.

"The hand reaching out of the darkness is a green monster who tries to pull the main character into its realm of dark despair." L.C.M.

"Unfortunately, this piece has neither a happy nor sad ending. The character remains in limbo, always fighting against the currents and the monster who tries to pull her under." L. Crystal Michallet
